What Makes My World Go Round

My cup runneth over….

“As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my Beloved among the sons. I sat down under His shadow with great delight, and His fruit was sweet to my taste.

He brought me to the banqueting house, and His banner over me was love.

Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love.

His left hand is under my head, and His right hand doth embrace me.

I charge you, of ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till He please.

The voice of my Beloved! behold, He cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.

My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, He standeth behind our wall, He looketh forth at the windows, shewing Himself through the lattice.

My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, My love, My fair one, and come away.

For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;

The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of the birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;

The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, My love, My fair one, and come away.

O My dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let Me see thy countenance, let Me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.

Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.

My beloved is mine, and I am His: He feedeth among the lilies.

Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn my Beloved, and be Thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether.”

Above everything.

Jesus is my Life, my Love, my Breath….

I love Jesus more than anything else in my life.

With Him, I have and am everything.

In Him there is no evil, pain, or sorrow.

He is the Balm for every earthly pain, the Comfort for my sorrow, the Destroyer of the evil,

and the Healer of my heart.

 My family.

Through my life they have always been there for me, we have struggled and suffered together.

Seen some of the worst moments and bowed our heads and cried together.

Of course we’ve had our fights – sometimes pretty serious ones at that!

But the love Jesus is in us, overcomes the weakness of our flesh, the sin and selfishness

that divides and torments.

We’ve laughed through tears together.

And enjoyed some of the happiest hours all together.

My parents are always there for me.

To guide, protect, and support me.

I have learned much from them throughout the years that Jesus has

given us together.

I pray these years may grow longer and longer,

and the lessons I learn will grow more profound.

I pray I may always be there for them too.

And that in some small way through my life I may repay them

for giving theirs for me.

My sister, Carra.

She is my greatest friend and confidante.

We love each other as more than sisters.

As the only two children at home we grew very close in our childhood years,

we even attended the same grades in school – despite the fact we are a year apart! – and

graduated the same day together.

We have stayed at home afterwards together and through the love of nature and simplicity

the Lord has given us, we have worked to build, as the Lord Jesus has made it possible,

a small business from our farming endeavors.

There is nothing I love more than being with Carra,

working with her, praying and seeking the Lord with her.

I praise the Lord Jesus for my dear sister!

We also share our love with another dear sister.

The Lord Jesus allowed our paths to cross sometime ago and we

have all since become very close in the Love which He is between us.

Bound up together, in His Life, we all seek the Lord Jesus for our everyday lives

and the struggles and trials we all share,

and we all desire to worship and praise and honor Him with our whole lives.

Our dear sister and her family are an encouragement everyday to us –

Carra and I, and our parents too!

We pray we maybe so much to her and her dear family.

We love you, precious Maddy! 🙂
